Exercising your idea
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you decide to act on your idea makes all the difference.
Research what you’re interested in, buy some items, test them out. If you want to do a wine bar with cheese plates, see if you can test out some cheese plates and wine pairings on some friends and family. They’ll of course give you amazingly positive feedback, but you’re looking for practice instead of real feedback. Can you do it in large volumes, is it still fun?
Don’t worry about being “professional”. Be you. There are probably more than one business that is similar to what you’re wanting to do out there, but your story is what’s going to separate your idea from the rest. Just work on exercising your idea by actually practicing what you preach.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your business idea can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. As you get further down your road to launching your business, things will get clearer and start to come together, one step at a time!
